How To Practice Radical Honesty In 3 Steps

Do you want to incorporate radical honesty in your life? Follow this blog to practice radical honesty in 3 steps.

What is radical honesty? Radical honesty is the practice of complete honesty and refraining from telling even white lies.

The term, radical honesty, was coined by Brad Blanton, who claims that effective communication relies on honesty.

If you frequently experience lies and deceptions in your relationships, you’re the perfect candidate for this practice.

The reason why you attract these kinds of relationships is that there is a part of you that is okay with dishonesty.

Because if you hold reverence for the truth, you will not tolerate any deviations from the truth.

Follow these 3 steps below for radical honesty and transform your relationships.

1. Be Honest With Yourself

The first step to practicing radical honesty is to be honest with yourself.

As I explain in my self-help book, Feeling Good, your external circumstance is a direct reflection of your internal state.

What you give to yourself, you give to others. What you withhold from yourself, you withhold from others.

So if you are not honest with yourself, how can you expect honesty from others?

You must develop a zero-tolerance policy for lies and be 100% honest with your own thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Pay attention to how you feel in each moment and acknowledge both the good and the bad in your life.

This may involve looking at old wounds or the parts of you that you dislike or even hate.

But remember that the truth will set you free.

Honor yourself for your willingness to witness these shadow parts of yourself so that you can live the most authentic and honest life.

2. Speak Up In The Moment

The second step to practicing radical honesty is to speak up in the moment.

When you have something to say, make it your mission to speak up immediately.

When you give your opinion from a place of love and truth, there is nothing you need to worry about.

You are only responsible for your intention, not your reception.

Remember that honesty is the best gift you can give to someone.

If they are someone who respects you, they will honor your willingness to speak up and receive your message with grace.

Speaking up in the moment also applies to positive people and favorable situations.

When you see the good in someone, acknowledge it out loud!

Radical honesty means embracing both the good and the bad in all situations.

3. Remember Your Intentions

The final step to practicing radical honesty is to remember your intentions behind the practice.

In other words, why do you want to practice radical honesty in the first place?

As a result of the Law of Attraction and the Law of Vibration, your intention is constantly attracting external circumstances that match its likeness.

This is why it’s important to clarify the energy that is backing up your desire for radical honesty.

Use the Emotional Guidance Scale to clarify the energy that is backing up your desire.

Your emotions will reveal to you whether the energy behind your desire is positive or negative.

One of the biggest blocks to honesty is the fear that the truth will hurt someone’s feelings.

But honesty never hurts when it is approached from the perspective of love, compassion, and peace.

Your truth-telling is what liberates other people to speak their truth.

So radical honesty is actually an act of high service to yourself and others.
