Feeling lost in life? Here are 3 steps you can take to get back on track when you feel lost.
The past two years have been tough on so many of us.
This worldwide crisis rocked our world and now many of us feel lost or stuck.
Most of us resist this feeling and we want to get rid of it as quickly as possible.
But this feeling of discomfort is actually here to serve us.
Because from a spiritual perspective, feeling lost is nothing more than guidance from the Universe.
When we become willing to perceive this moment as an opportunity rather than an obstacle, we will be led on the path of radical transformation.
Here are the 3 steps you can take when you feel lost.
1. Recognize The Feeling As Guidance
The first step to take when you feel lost is to recognize this feeling as guidance from the Universe (also known as God, Source, Spirit, etc…)
As I teach in my book Feeling Good, the Universe is always offering you spiritual guidance through the way that you feel.
When you feel good, that’s a sign that you’re in absolute alignment with your purpose.
When you don’t feel good, that’s a sign that you’re out of alignment with your purpose.
Many people have become so jaded in life that they can no longer feel their feelings which blocks their connection to their Inner Guide.
But the fact that you’re able to feel this discomfort means that your connection is still intact.
So instead of beating yourself up over having this lost feeling, you should celebrate this moment as guidance!
Use this difficult moment as an opportunity to ask for spiritual guidance and clarify what you really want in life.
2. Clarify What You Want
The second step to take when you feel lost is to clarify what you want.
The reason why we feel lost is an indication that our lives are out of alignment with our purpose.
Most of us hold grand visions of our highest and best lives. A life that is filled with joy, freedom, and fulfillment.
But we are too afraid to manifest it.
Well, this is your wake-up call to claim your desire unapologetically.
Write down exactly what you want in your journal.
Want to be a business owner? Write it down.
Want to be a best-selling author? Write it down.
Want to be an inspirational speaker? Write it down.
Then clarify why you want it by backing it up with positive intentions.
Now if at this point you’re wondering, “What if I don’t know what I want?”
Then trying writing down what you don’t like or don’t want in your life.
Remember that every subject is either what you want or the opposite (lack) of what you want.
So knowing what you don’t want is actually the best opportunity to clarify what it is that you do want.
If you don’t like your current job, your desire will be, “I want to find a job that I love!”
If you don’t have enough money, your desire will be, “I want to be abundant!”
If you don’t know what you want in life, your desire will be, “I want to know what I want in life!”
Focusing on what you want activates the power of the Law of Attraction, which attracts the essence of your thoughts toward you.
So instead of focusing on feeling lost, and attracting more of that negative experience.
We deliberately pivot our attention towards what we desire and thus begin to attract positive experiences instead.
3. Be In The Inquiry Of Your Desire
The final step to take when you feel lost is to be in the inquiry of your desire.
Instead of going out there and taking the bull by the horns, the action that will serve you the most is to simply be open to divine guidance.
Once you have claimed your desire unapologetically, the Universe responds quickly.
So your job is to be on the lookout for universal guidance.
This guidance will inform you of the next right action you need to take.
Use this affirmation daily to receive spiritual downloads from your Higher Power, “Universe, reveal to me what I need to know.”
This mantra opens your consciousness to receive inspired ideas from the Universe.
The way to recognize divine guidance is through how it makes you feel.
Inspired ideas will make you feel happy, excited, and optimistic.
These ideas will make you want to take action rather than need to take action.
Remember that there is no big or small when it comes to taking action.
Every action that is taken from a place of alignment is bringing you closer to the manifestation of your greatest desire.
