We are always manifesting whether we are aware of it or not.
So the best way to stop manifesting things you don’t want is to start manifesting things you do want.
Rather than focusing on what you don’t want or don’t have, you need to consciously direct your attention toward what you do want and do have.
This shift in perception from lack to abundance transforms your energetic standpoint from low vibration to high vibration.
Thereby attracting the situations, people, and experiences that are in vibrational alignment with your desires.
Follow these 3 steps below to stop manifesting things you don’t want.
1. Clarify What You Don’t Want
The first step to stop manifesting things you don’t want is to write them down.
As I teach in my manifestation course, the first step to manifesting what you want is clarity.
Begin by writing down everything you don’t want to manifest in your manifestation journal.
Most of us have a negativity bias, which means we tend to focus on negative things rather than positive things even if they are of the same magnitude.
This is why it’s easier for us to list out what we don’t want rather than what we do want.
But guess what? The opposite of what we don’t want is what we do want.
So knowing what you don’t want actually helps you clarify what you do want.

2. Affirm What You Do Want
The second step to stop manifesting things you don’t want is to affirm what you do want instead.
Go through your list of things that you don’t want and write down the things that you do want beside each of them.
For example, if you wrote down, “I don’t want to be broke.” Write down, “I want to be financially abundant” next to it.
Now on the surface, both of these statements speak to the same result.
But on a vibrational level, these statements have big energetic differences.
But the first statement is backed by negative energy and by the Law of Attraction you will attract more outcomes that are a vibrational match for your negativity.
The second statement is backed by positive energy and by the Law of Attraction you will attract more outcomes that are a vibrational match for your positivity.
After you have affirmed what you want, cross out every item on the list of things that you don’t want.
Recite this prayer every time you cross out an item on the list, “Thank you for revealing to me what I don’t want so I can clarify what it is that I do want.”
This is a gentle way of recognizing that you don’t have to fear your negative thoughts.
In fact, they can be your compass back to the light.
Everything can serve as guidance from your Higher Self if you are willing to perceive it that way.
Step 3: Cultivate The Feeling You Desire
The final step to stop manifesting what you don’t want is to do everything you can to cultivate the feeling you desire.
Once you have clarified the feeling you want to manifest, it’s time to align yourself with the feeling of what you experience.
If you want to attract loving experiences and find romance, make sure you are loving yourself deeply and practicing self-love and self-care.
If you want to feel at peace with your finances, make sure you are treating your money with respect and being open to new ways of earning.
If you want to feel fulfilled by your career, make sure you are applying to jobs that you actually want and showing up to your current job with a positive attitude.
It may seem counterintuitive to feel as if you have already manifested your desire in the present moment.
But as I explain in my book Feeling Good, your future is programmed in the present.
How you feel right now determines the type of outcomes you will experience in the future.
By living in the feeling of what you want to experience, you become a magnet for more of it.
