1. Ladder Technique
One of Neville Goddard’s best-known techniques is the ladder technique.
The ladder technique is an imaginative exercise that you do every night before you go to bed.
To do this exercise, simply close your eyes and mentally climb a ladder while feeling every step you make. You want to do this for 3 nights straight.
Then during the 3 days, you must write the phrase “I will not climb a ladder” on paper.
Neville gave this exercise to his students, and they came back with astounding results.
After visualizing themselves climbing a ladder for three days, they all manifested real-life situations where they had to do so.
Goddard continued by telling them that they could substitute virtually anything for climbing a ladder because we create in real life what we imagine in our minds.
As a result, “the ladder technique” emerged, and today it is regarded as one of the best methods for manifesting.

2. State Akin To Sleep (SATS)
One of Neville Goddard’s most popular manifestation techniques is to visualize your desire in a State Akin To Sleep (SATS).
Neville recommends practicing all visualization exercises during a meditative state called “state akin to sleep (SATS).”
In this relaxed state, your conscious mind begins to slow down which makes it the optimal time to impress new assumptions in your subconscious mind through your imagination.
You can access this state through meditation or you can take advantage of the time just before you fall asleep.
I prefer the latter because we do it every day anyway.
Once you’re in SATS, use your imagination to take yourself into the scene of your desire in the first person.
You want to feel as if you are in the scene and see your desired reality in the first-person view.
Then you want to experience this scene in your imagination. Once the scene ends, repeat it again. Loop it over and over.
Your mind will try to throw you off course. If you wander off, bring yourself back to the scene.
As you loop the scene, you will naturally FEEL the feelings in that scene that you’d feel as if you were actually there.
Do this until you fall asleep. If you successfully fall asleep while imagining your scene, the belief will be impressed into your subconscious mind and your belief will manifest in your reality.
3. Breathing Technique
Neville Goddard’s Breathing Technique involves taking deep breaths in and out while visualizing the end goal you want to manifest.
After 10 rounds of deep breaths, you forcefully exhale both the air and the energy from your lungs.
You want to feel as though the energy from your breath is now fueling the result you had been visualizing. That it is fully lit up and in motion.
Neville stated that this exercise should only be performed once for each desire and he even compared it to a sexual act.
He claimed that this breathing technique is comparable to a sexual act because you must warm up before an explosion, much like an orgasm, and that once such an energy explosion occurs, there is nothing you can do to stop it.
Once you have impregnated your subconscious mind with the desire, your desire will manifest once it’s fully formed.
4. Imaginal Acts Become Facts
Neville Goddard’s Imaginal Acts Become Facts Technique involves imagining your desired outcome as if it is already done.
This is one of his most fundamental techniques, given that one of the guiding principles that influenced Goddard’s entire body of work is the belief that anything we imagine can be realized,
The idea that your desired outcome has already occurred is the key to this technique.
To do this technique, you must imagine having a number of conversations in your head about the goal as if it has already been achieved.
These discussions can be with people you know who are asking you about it and praising you for it.
You want to imagine them telling you all the things you would expect to hear if you manifested your desire.
These internal dialogues are meant to give the impression that your goal has already been accomplished.
You’ll have even more faith in it when you anticipate what others will say.
For example, let’s say you’re trying to manifest a new job.
You want to imagine having a conversation with your best friend who is congratulating you on your achievement.
Visualize the conversation in great detail including the positive words he saying and the excitement in his voice.
5. Visualize The Event That Follows The Manifestation
The fifth technique that Neville Goddard taught was to visualize an event that follows your manifestation.
The first step is to select the event. This event can be a wedding, a party, a business event, you name it. This event can be anything as long as it’s a logical step following your manifestation.
For example, you can choose a wedding that takes place after you met your soulmate or a party that takes place after you got a promotion.
The second step is to enter into a relaxed, meditative state while lying down or sitting in a chair, and then visualize that specific event while experiencing it as though it were actually happening to you and that you were actively participating in it.
People’s hands can be felt in yours when you shake hands with them or around your body when you hug them.
After your visualization, you want to dwell on the feelings that the event brought up in you as long as you can.
6. Congratulations Technique
The Congratulations Technique is another simple method taught by Neville Goddard for realizing your dreams.
The Congratulations Technique involves visualizing all the praise and accolades you expect to receive from your friends and family after you manifested your desire.
To do this technique, you must enter into a relaxed, meditative state while lying down or sitting in a chair, and then visualize someone else, such as a friend or a family member, expressing their sincere congratulations to you.
Try to imagine your friend as clearly as you can and make this exercise as realistic as you can.

Neville Goddard taught another technique called the Eavesdrop Technique.
The Eavesdrop Technique involves visualizing your friends and having a discussion about how well you’ve done in manifesting your desires.
To get started, first enter into a state of meditation by taking a few breaths in and out. Then, picture yourself listening in on a discussion between two of your closest friends as they praise you and mention how well you’ve done in reaching your goals.
Describe in great detail who is speaking and what they are saying, including their tone of voice, the words they are using, and your reaction.
Internalize the emotions you experience upon hearing that conversation and transform them into actual emotions.
Consider that some of your friends are praising and admiring you, while others are jealous or surprised.
You should internalize everything each of them says and consider it to be true.
9. Catch The Mood Technique
Neville Goddard’s Catch The Mood technique involves intentionally dwelling in an emotional state in order to manifest experiences that match it.
Neville Goddard believed that a person’s attitude can spur them to take action. In other words, he said that no matter what kind of mood you’re in, you’ll attract things that match it. This is why he invented the Catch The Mood Technique.
For instance, if he was feeling sad, he would induce a happy mood inside of himself and then dwell on it until it became his default state of mind.
Dwelling on the mood you’ve created is a crucial component of this technique.
If you are only experiencing it momentarily, it won’t have much of an impact because it will pass quickly; however, if you focus on it, it will become “your home,” or your ongoing state.
Any mood can be created inside of a person, and that mood can then be manifested in the outside world.
Goddard discussed, as an illustration, the attitude or feeling that you are capable of achieving any of your goals.

The Fast Forward Technique involves visualizing yourself moving forward in time to experience your wish fulfilled. For example, you wake up in the morning and fast forward to bedtime and visualize yourself having a great day with specific details.
To get started, first enter into a state of meditation by taking a few breaths in and out.
In meditation, you want to see yourself journeying through time and see how you’ve already overcome all the challenges and taken all the necessary steps, and end up enjoying your desire.
Give yourself permission to feel triumphant and happy for having achieved what you set out to do.
